Description

A refreshing and elegant cucumber spritz mocktail combining fresh cucumber juice, elderflower syrup, lime juice, and sparkling soda or non-alcoholic wine, perfect for a light and festive non-alcoholic beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Mocktail Ingredients

  • 2 oz cucumber juice (see note 1)
  • ½ oz elderflower syrup or cordial (see note 2)
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ½ cup dry sparkling wine or soda water (see note 3)
  • Cucumber ribbon and/or edible flowers to garnish (see note 4)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass: Fill your wine glass to the brim with ice, then add the elderflower syrup or cordial.
  2. Add juices: Pour in the cucumber juice and lime juice to the glass over the ice and syrup.
  3. Add the sparkling element: Gently pour in the dry sparkling wine or soda water, stirring carefully to maintain the bubbles and the delicate texture of the mocktail.
  4. Garnish and serve: Add cucumber ribbons, lime wheels, or edible flowers as desired for a beautiful presentation, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cucumber juice: Can be bought or homemade. To make at home without a juicer, blend 2 inches of cucumber with 2 tablespoons water and strain, pressing the pulp to extract juice.
  • Elderflower syrup or cordial: Both work well; to reduce sugar content, opt for low-sugar varieties.
  • Sparkling element: Using dry non-alcoholic wine gives a more adult and celebratory flavor; soda water is a milder alternative.
  • Garnish options: Use cucumber ribbons, lime wheels, and edible flowers to enhance the appearance and aroma of the drink.
